The Company

Delivering on-shore wind solutions in complex environments

With on-shore wind projects in Japan’s mountainous terrain and the Philippines’ emerging infrastructure markets, RENOVA takes on some of the most challenging logistics and development environments. To scale effectively, the company recognised the need for advanced planning tools that can simulate end‐to‐end construction and operational scenarios.

The motivation

Reducing risk and cost in logistics‐heavy wind projects

On-shore wind developments often involve complex equipment transport, limited staging space, multimodal logistics and weather/tide constraints — especially in Japan and the Philippines. RENOVA sought a digital simulation solution to optimise delivery, resource allocation and schedule reliability during the development and pre-development phases.

“Additionally, the platform uses ERA5 data including atmospheric, land, and oceanic climate variables to improve onshore wind farm construction planning by analysing downtime and identifying areas for improvement. It accounts for seasonal variations and waiting times, providing a more realistic and feasible construction plan. By addressing key sources of downtime, RENOVA can create a more efficient schedule. “

The Solution

Partnering with Shoreline for scenario-based construction planning

Through Shoreline’s simulation platform, RENOVA modelled transportation logistics, component delivery, weather-impacted scheduling and staging constraints for both its Japanese and Philippine on-shore wind projects. The platform enabled data-driven insight from early design through execution, reducing uncertainty and enabling more accurate planning.

The Results

Improved planning accuracy, fewer bottlenecks and cost control

By integrating simulation into its project planning, RENOVA gained clarity on logistics constraints, improved resource utilisation, reduced potential downtime and accelerated development timelines. The partnership strengthens RENOVA’s ability to deploy on-shore wind in challenging markets with greater confidence and efficiency.
